Dynamic View

The Dynamic View Mode is used to zoom, rotate, flip, and invert a surface.  This is typically the most often used view mode because it allows you to select the region of interest on a surface.

Cross Section View

The Cross Section View is used to extract a 2D profile along the X axis, the Y axis, or any user-defined linear section.  The 2D profile is updated as the user drags the cursor on the surface.

Geometry View

The Geometry View Mode is used to compute point locations, linear distances, and radii.

Volume View

The Volume Calculation View Mode is used to compute the volume of a peak or valley on the surface.  It can also be used to compute the area of any polygonal region.

Particle Counting View

The Particle Counting View mode can be used to quickly compute the area, perimeter, and value of multiple objects (particles) on the surface.  A threshold plane height is defined by dragging the marker on the legend up and down.  This threshold distinguishes "particles" from the background image.

Step Height View

The Step Height View mode is used to compute the distance between two distinct levels of a stepped surface.  A polyline region is defined on each surface.  A least squares plane is then computed for each region.  The differences between the computed planes is then reported.
