Full Support for Non-Measured Samples

TrueMap now has full support for non-measured samples, sometimes referred to as "bad pixels", in a surface data set. It is no longer necessary to only visualize and analyze rectangular surfaces. Methods are available for "filling in" regions of the surface marked as non-measured, if needed. It is also possible to import irregularly gridded data sets that are common with 3D scanning systems, laser triangularization systems, etc.

Macro recording and playback

Macros can be recorded by simply placing the program in record mode and performing an analysis. The recorded steps of the analysis can then be applied to any data set by simply playing back the macro. This feature is great for automating repetitive analyses, batch processes on mutliple files, etc.

Cross Section View Enhancements

The cross section and series of profiles view modes have been combined and enhanced. Rulers are available to compute distances along the profile in the XY plane and distances along the Z axis. It is also possible to average multiple samples when computing these distances. The 3D window has been enhanced to render the cursors to help aid in the visualization of the cursor locations on the surface data.

Enhanced Rendering with Per-pixel Lighting

Standard OpenGL lighting

Per-pixel OpenGL Lighting (must be supported by the video card)

Many, many more enhancements since version 3.0 (including):
